The identification of learning disabilities is complex and one of the most controversial topics in school psychology. It involves blending science and practice to make decisions that can impact a lifetime. In many ways, it parallels the experiences parents face when making decisions about their children. This presentation will use examples and lessons learned from parenting to help participants navigate the complexities of learning disability identification.
