Collaborative PSW Assessment Within the Science of Reading Perspective: Reducing Testing Time and Increasing Diagnostic Specificity

Andrew Shanock

Presented by: Shanock

School psychologists and SLPs often do evaluations in isolation of one another, despite the fact that many of the assessments are alike. Procedures on how to perform a collaborative SP/SLP assessment and how it can assist in data collection, collaborative interpretation, and intervention development will be reviewed. Participants will gain a strong working knowledge of and ability to differentiate between language processing, dyslexia, and SLI, using the Simple View of Reading framework.
