Culture and Language for Specific Learning Disability

This micro-credential evaluation is designed to determine whether the participant acquired the expected level of in-depth learning and skill development in identifying specific learning disability (SLD) in the context of culture and language. Completion of this micro-credential demonstrates that the participant has the expected level of knowledge and skills in the following content areas:

  • Differentiating difference from disorder
  • Case conceptualization when evaluating culturally and linguistically diverse individuals suspected of SLD
  • The factors to consider prior to conducting evaluations of culturally and linguistically diverse individuals suspected SLD

CAI Psychs

Comprehensive Assessment for Intervention (CAI) is an approved sponsor through the American Psychological Association (APA) to offer continuing education for psychologists. CAI maintains responsibility for all programming and content.  Continuing education units earned from this program are accepted by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences for LEPs and by the National Association of School Psychologists for NCSPs.
